Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain secure enterprise applications using the Appian platform.
- Develop workflow automation solutions supporting Intelligence Community business operations, including case management, approvals, logistics, financial systems, and other mission-support functions.
- Configure and optimize Appian Data Fabric to connect multiple enterprise data sources and reduce reliance on traditional ETL processes.
- Design and implement secure integrations using REST APIs, SOAP, JDBC, and other enterprise integration technologies.
- Develop custom Appian plug-ins when business requirements extend beyond standard platform capabilities.
- Collaborate with architects and Technical Delivery Managers to design scalable, maintainable, and secure application solutions.
- Support deployment of applications from unclassified development environments into secure customer environments.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and implement performance improvements across existing applications.
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to technical knowledge sharing within the team.
- Work directly with customer stakeholders to gather requirements, refine business processes, and deliver high-quality technical solutions.
- Ensure applications adhere to security requirements and operational standards within classified government environments.
Requirements
- Approximately 4 to 7 years of experience in software development, technical consulting, application development, or a related technical field.
- Strong hands-on Appian development experience.
- Experience with recent versions of the Appian platform and the ability to clearly articulate platform experience.
- Experience developing Appian applications using record types, process models, interfaces, expression rules, and other Appian objects.
- Experience designing and implementing system integrations using REST APIs, SOAP services, JDBC connections, or similar technologies.
- Working knowledge of relational databases, database design principles, and SQL.
- Understanding of object-oriented programming concepts and traditional software development methodologies.
- Experience working within Agile development teams and participating in sprint-based software delivery.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively in customer-facing environments.
- Ability and willingness to work within secure facilities and SCIF environments as required.
Clearance Requirements
- Active TS clearance or higher required.
- TS/SCI clearance strongly preferred.
- Active CI Polygraph or Full Scope Polygraph highly desired depending on program requirements.
Compensation
- Salary Range: $140,000 - $170,000 depending on experience
- Full Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO), and Sick Leave if required by law.
