Sr Analyst - System Optimization Finance

About the Role

As a key member of the System Optimization Finance team, you will execute the Company’s System Optimization strategies, including buying and selling Company restaurants, due diligence, valuation, negotiation, deal book preparations, and execution of Franchise Flip (M&A) transactions. You will also analyze real estate portfolio management opportunities and support the Company’s “Growth Ready” strategy. This role involves close collaboration with senior leadership, internal stakeholders, and the franchise community to optimize and shape the future of the Wendy’s System.

Responsibilities

• Analyze P&L statements, weekly sales, and balance sheets.
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of accounting statements in business valuations.
• Prepare detailed valuation models for restaurants identified as acquisition or divestiture targets.
• Prepare deal books for prospective buyers, working cross-functionally to ensure accurate capture of deal terms.
• Execute the due diligence process for assigned acquisitions, divestitures, and franchise flips.
• Ensure all necessary due diligence items are received, reviewed, and properly filed.
• Work with buyers and sellers to provide access to due diligence materials.
• Prepare financial analysis to support franchise-to-franchise transfers and financing reviews.
• Calculate impact on pro forma financial statements, financial leverage ratios, and cash flow while memorializing key terms.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business (Finance or Accounting majors) or Economics with high academic achievement.
• Expertise in financial modeling, management reporting systems, and Microsoft Office applications.
• High proficiency in Excel.
• High attention to detail and accountability for work product.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interpret and communicate results to cross-functional business users.
• MBA or CPA preferred with 2+ years of relevant experience.

Travel: 10%

Schedule

This role is primarily based at the Wendy's Restaurant Support Center (1 Dave Thomas Blvd, Dublin, OH 43017) or other designated locations. You are required to work in the office at least 4 days a week, with changes subject to managerial approval and business needs.

Pay

The salary range for this role is $81,000–$138,000 annually. The actual pay offered will consider internal equity, budget, and factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This range does not include the estimated value of benefits, bonuses, or other incentives.

The target annual bonus for this role is 10% of annualized base salary, based on company and personal performance.
