Sr. Analyst, PIM Ops - Seasonal Investments (Hybrid)

About the role

This role is within Planning at Target, focusing on financials and forecasting for one of Target's businesses. It involves creating a financial link between Merchandising and Supply Chain, and coordinating the transformation of financial metrics and business management/forecast processes.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain investment grids, financial models, and planning tools used to evaluate seasonal investment opportunities.
  • Analyze sales, margin, inventory, and guest metrics to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Create executive-ready analyses and presentations that support investment recommendations and business decisions.
  • Partner with various teams including Merchandise Planning, Planning Operations, Finance, Inventory Management, and Technology to align inputs and drive actionable outcomes.
  • Support reporting enhancements and process optimization efforts, maintaining and enhancing reporting solutions using Excel- and Domo-based tools and dashboards.
  • Conduct post-season performance reviews and provide insights to improve future investment strategies.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve reporting, and increase analytical rigor.

Requirements

  • A four-year degree or equivalent experience.
  • Two plus years of experience in Target Supply Chain or Merchandising roles.
  • A working understanding of Target Inventory Management replenishment systems.
  • Excellent analytical ability.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • A curiosity with a desire to learn and innovate.
  • A self-starter with the ability to work independently to prioritize and take action.
  • Flexibility & resiliency; comfortable working in 'grey areas' that are constantly changing.
  • A demonstrated ability to manage tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Pay

The pay range for this role is $73,000.00 - $132,000.00, based on several factors including labor markets, education, work experience, and certifications.

Schedule

This position operates as a Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement, meaning the team member's core role will need to be performed both onsite at the Target HQ MN location the role is assigned to and virtually, depending upon what your role, team, and tasks require for that day. Work duties cannot be performed outside of the country of the primary work location, unless otherwise prescribed by Target.
