Sr Analyst, People Analytics and Data

The Senior Analyst, People Analytics and Data will provide analytical expertise and deliver reporting solutions for our People/HR function and business leaders. Reporting to the Director of People Systems, this role is part of a collaborative HRIS team supporting PDS’s People technology portfolio, including Workday HCM, Cornerstone (Learning and Talent), ICIMS (ATS), and Anaplan (Incentive Comp).
As a subject matter expert in Workday HCM reporting, you will develop reports and dashboards in support of our People analytics roadmap. If you are passionate about data and analytics, you will use your initiative, curiosity, and expertise to make a meaningful impact on the business.
Responsibilities
- Own day-to-day reporting deliverables and operational support of report requests, inquiries, and tickets.
- Produce and deliver standard and customized People reports (monthly, quarterly, and annual) using Workday and Power BI primarily.
- Proactively develop new and improved Workday HCM dashboards for employees, managers, and People/HR team members.
- Facilitate the definition and development of business and predictive KPIs/metrics across the People/HR function and recommend effective tools for delivery.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to understand business problems, analyze data, and present insights and dashboards that drive people-related decisions.
- Analyze and interpret data using techniques ranging from simple aggregation to complex statistical analysis.
- Summarize insights and present findings to executives, business leaders, hiring managers, and People/HR team members, building compelling data stories and visualizations.
- Analyze end-to-end processes and underlying data from multiple sources to identify inconsistencies and recommend improvements.
- Work with IT and Data Warehouse teams to improve data integrity and advance KPI/metrics definition and reporting.
- Lead and participate in data/analytics projects, including planning, scoping, requirements development, prototyping, testing, and deployment (including change management tasks).
- Stay updated with industry research and leading practices in People/HR analytics; actively participate in Workday Community and other forums.
- Identify opportunities to innovate and evolve PDS’s people analytics roadmap.
- Provide reporting and analytics training and guidance to end-users.
- Adhere to data privacy and access policies, complying with security and system change control/governance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, IT/MIS, Data Science, Statistics, Math, or related fields, or +5 years of professional experience in lieu of degree.
- 6+ years of experience, including 4+ years in People/HR data analytics and reporting, with in-depth knowledge of HR, Payroll, Compensation, Recruiting, Benefits, Learning, and Talent data.
- In-depth experience building and maintaining advanced Workday HCM reports and dashboards, including calculated fields and advanced Matrix and composite reports.
- Experience integrating a core HRMS application with a data warehouse/data lake and consolidating data from multiple sources.
- Demonstrated experience in all phases of a project, including SDLC or SCRUM/Agile methodologies and roadmap/tactical development for a phased People/HR analytics strategy.
- Experience with statistical analysis and data visualization tools, such as Power BI or Tableau.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a multi-regional healthcare, retail, or dental company.
- Master’s Degree in Business, IT/MIS, Data Science, Statistics, or related field.
- Workday Pro Certified (HCM Core, HCM Reporting) and exposure to Workday Prism and Discovery Boards.
- Advanced Power BI skills.
- Experience with Applicant Tracking, Learning, and Talent systems and data.
- Knowledge or exposure to Python or R for advanced data analysis, predictive modeling, and inferential statistics.

Pay
$116,000.00 - $150,000.00 / Annually
