Sr. Aircraft Technician - Avionics (Retrofit)

About the role

Airbus Helicopters is seeking a Senior Aircraft Avionics Technician to join our Retrofit team based in Columbus, MS. The role involves performing assembly, installation, repair or replacement of aircraft electrical/electronic components and systems in the manufacture, maintenance or refurbishing of aircraft and conducting component function checks.

Responsibilities

• Maintain close working relationship with assigned lead person regarding schedules, priorities, availability of parts, supplies and tools, and special instructions as required.
• Read and interpret blueprints, sketches and diagrams to obtain dimensions, locations, alignment, tolerances and other specification requirements.
• Assure that completed work complies with FAA regulations, customer requirements, and company specifications.
• Cook up coordination with various departments regarding requirements for materials, supplies, equipment and job schedules.

Requirements

• Minimum of six (6) years of experience working on avionics on aircraft.
• Preferrably rotorcraft.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches and diagrams, and apply standard shop practices in the fabrication and repair modifications of aircraft structures and repairs.
• Current A&P license or FCC license is a plus.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
