About the Role
This position is responsible for independently performing and coordinating complex technical work in support of AI-enabled solutions, automation, data-informed process improvements, and digital tools that advance Constellation’s business objectives. The role applies experienced technical judgment to evaluate requirements, develop and test solutions, resolve issues, and implement improvements with limited supervision. It supports the adoption of AI within Constellation Generation by identifying opportunities to simplify workflows, reduce manual effort, improve efficiency, and enhance consistency.
The role partners with business stakeholders, engineering teams, and technology partners to lead or support requirements gathering, solution design, testing, deployment, adoption, monitoring, and ongoing improvement while adhering to safety, security, governance, regulatory, and responsible AI expectations.
Responsibilities
- Independently perform and coordinate technical work related to AI-enabled solutions, automation, data analysis, workflow improvement, testing, troubleshooting, documentation, and PowerBI reporting/dashboard creation.
- Evaluate and ensure AI, automation, data, and engineering products comply with safety analyses, regulatory requirements, cybersecurity standards, data governance, responsible AI guidance, and approved business processes; identify risks and recommend corrective actions.
- Lead or support the development, implementation, deployment, adoption, monitoring, and continuous improvement of AI-enabled solutions, Copilot agents, workflow automations, and related digital tools, ensuring compliance with policies and governance.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, engineering personnel, IT, cybersecurity, data governance, and compliance partners to define needs, resolve issues, and ensure solutions are practical, maintainable, secure, and aligned with Constellation standards.
- Drive improvements to standard tools, workflows, and procedures for better format, methodology, process, or usability.
- Perform additional duties as assigned, including emergency response, departmental coverage, or support for outage activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field with 5 years of relevant experience, OR Associate’s degree in the same fields with 7 years of relevant experience, OR High school diploma/GED with 9 years of relevant experience.
- 5 years of experience with AI, automation, and data-related tools, including generative AI, large language models (LLMs), prompt design, data quality, Python, SQL, Microsoft Copilot Studio, Power Automate, and other low-code solutions.
- Maintain minimum access requirements or unescorted access requirements, as applicable, and pass required medical examinations/testing.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant certifications for Microsoft Power Platform or Azure.
- Experience with Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
- Exposure to power plants, energy, utility, industrial, or other highly regulated operating environments.
