Responsibilities
- Drive system design, development, integration, and implementation of core Flight Displays Systems to be hosted on the Next Generation Avionics Platform.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system requirements and specifications for core flight display systems, platforms, and applications.
- Employ Model-based System Design methodologies and tools to create innovative solutions.
- Drive Systems/Software requirements development, validation, integration, and verification, ensuring our cutting-edge systems meet the highest standards.
- Support ARINC 661 development, utilizing Scade.
- Create test cases based upon use cases derived from system and software requirements.
- Stay current with advancements in avionics technologies and industry trends to inform design decisions and enhance system capabilities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics.
- 6+ years of Systems engineering experience ideally in aerospace/avionics, display technologies, gaming, or related industries.
- Strong proficiency in systems engineering principles and processes.
- Advanced Engineering degrees in AE (Aerospace Engineering), SE (Systems Engineering), EE, etc or related.
- Familiarity with avionics systems and/or display technologies is of value.
- Experience with Simulink or similar model-based design tools.
- Experience in new and/or next generation development programs is of value.
- Experience with Integrated Modular Avionics (IMA) I/O and IO scheduling tools (ESCAPE, PCT, HARMONIC) is a plus.
- Knowledge of industry regulations and best practices.
- Knowledge of change management practices.
- Knowledge of system certification requirements and documentation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively in a team environment.
