Responsibilities
- Cook up and document all stages of the Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) process.
- Prepare and submit all necessary PPAP documentation according to AIAG or VDA guidelines.
- Create gauge concepts and acquire gauges for specific projects.
- Collaborate with component and tooling/equipment suppliers to enhance products and tackle manufacturing challenges.
- Engage in Simultaneous Development Teams (SDT’s).
- Participate in internal audits as needed.
- Support the Product Introduction Process from prototyping to delivery.
- Ensure the use of appropriate statistical methods during Product and Process Development and their implementation in the Control Plan.
- Handle all other Customer-specific Advanced Quality requirements.
- Solve Customer, internally identified, and supplier quality issues using problem-solving methods like Kepner-Tregoe, 8-D, DOE, 5 Why, Red X, etc.
Requirements
- Quality training in core disciplines such as IATF, ISO/TS 16949, VDA, Continuous Improvement, Total Quality Management, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, DOE, and SPC.
- Experience overseeing a customer PPAP.
- A Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or a technical field.
- Minimum 7 years Quality Engineering experience within Manufacturing - Automotive.
