Sr Advanced Engineering Project Manager

Responsibilities

• Tracking and reporting on project schedules, budget, and key milestones
• Managing programmatic metrics associated with earned value
• Managing capital equipment procurement and installation projects
• Performing administrative tasks with equipment suppliers, including managing service contracts and NDAs
• Interfacing with facilities, health and safety, and engineering for key safety and facility improvements
• Working with finance, contracts, procurement, and other support functions to ensure program work flows efficiently
• Managing various material inventories for program use

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics
• 8 years industry experience in project engineering, project management, or transferrable role
• Due to contractual agreements, all applicants must be US Citizen
• Experience in an atomic or optical lab environment is a plus
• Engineering background to effectively communicate with engineers on their project milestones and equipment needs
• Prior program management experience, including PMP certification
• Self-starter with the ability to pick up the phone and make things happen
• Extensive track record of navigating in a cross-functional corporate environment
• Experience using SAP for program and proposal support
• Experience with basic lab equipment
• Enthusiasm for learning about new technologies and engaging difficult logistical problems
• Understanding complex customer requirements and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders
