You will offer demand management, business consultancy, domain architecture, program/project management, and IT-related services to assigned business clients. Through ongoing consultation, you will identify and analyze business needs, influence scope and requirements, and create opportunities for innovation in process changes or technology-enabled solutions.

You may lead and manage IT projects—typically larger, complex B- and A-level projects—or lead programs, which are portfolios of related projects. Responsibilities include engaging clients in analyzing, prioritizing, and governing demand for IT services, ensuring delivery of assigned IT services, and ensuring projects and programs realize their intended business benefits.

Responsibilities

  • Adopt a leadership role in influencing IT-related business decisions through direct and sustained engagement with clients at all levels, usually across multiple business domains.
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of multiple business domains, including associated business processes and interactions.
  • Independently plan, organize, oversee internal resources, and manage external resources to achieve the goals and objectives of multiple large projects.
  • Lead a liaison function between the business and all providers of technical services, influencing and prioritizing complex demands on IT services to maximize business value.
  • Analyze, define, and document the relationship of systems and services required to support business domains, collaborating with architects to govern the multi-domain IT landscape.
  • Propose improvements to individual IT systems, inter-system interactions, and business processes.
  • Lead large programs and manage all aspects of project and program management from initiation to closure, including defining scope and deliverables that support business goals.
  • Manage consultant resources and external creative and technical personnel in a fast-paced, complex project environment.
  • Develop, maintain, apply, and influence business, data, application, and technical architecture within a functional domain.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (or equivalent) in IT, a relevant business function, or Business Administration from an accredited institution.
  • Seven to twelve (7-12) years of progressive IT and business experience.
  • Strong business process knowledge and demonstrated capability to apply technology solutions to complex business issues.
  • Experience managing business priorities and projects across multiple business areas.
  • Demonstrated project management capability based on successful completion of large projects in multiple business areas.
  • Strong communication skills and relationship development/management capabilities.
  • Preferred: 3–7 years of experience providing project/program management leadership of IT professionals (4–9 team members).
  • Strong foundation in methodologies for system design, development, and implementation; all phases of the project implementation life cycle; and validation/regulatory requirements.
  • Expert knowledge of business processes relevant to the assigned area (e.g., Marketing and Sales or R&D).
  • Knowledge of IAAS, PAAS, and other cloud-delivered solutions.
  • Experience with system design, project management, ITIL, and Agile methodology.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction.
  • Must be willing to take a drug test and post-offer physical (if required).
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.

Pay

This position offers a base salary typically between $140,000 and $222,000. The role may be eligible for a role-specific discretionary bonus, relocation assistance, and/or other compensation elements. Actual compensation will be based on job-related factors such as skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as other factors permitted by law.
