Sr. Accountant

About the role

Robert Half has teamed up with a manufacturer on their search for a Senior Accountant who can assist with the financial future of the company. This Senior Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial reports, processing accounts receivable/payable transactions, posting journal entries, preparing financial statements, assisting the month end close process, maintaining the general ledger, processing client billings, and ensuring inventory is stocked and maintained. The successful candidate for this role will have excellent leadership abilities, sharp analytical skills, command of the month end process, excellent time management experience, and strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements.
• Analyze general ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies or irregularities.
• Support external audits by preparing schedules and providing necessary documentation.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support business decisions.
• Maintain fixed asset records and perform related depreciation calculations.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies.
• Support process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance accounting efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including AP, AR, Payroll, and FP&A.
• Provide administrative support and analysis as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 5+ years of well-rounded accounting experience.
• MUST have MS Dynamics 365.
• Proven knowledge of US GAAP.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
