Sr Accountant

Job Summary

CF Industries is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our Waggaman location. Key responsibilities include preparing and inputting journal entries, reviewing and analyzing distributions and assessments, processing product costing, and maintaining documentation to satisfy Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.

Responsibilities

• Financial close process for Waggaman
• Review, analysis, and journal preparation
• Distributions and assessment processing
• Processing of product costing
• Balance sheet variance analysis
• Local key performance indicators
• Account reconciliations
• Monthly plant cost variance analysis
• Local financial & cost reporting enhancements
• Asset componentization, retirement, and closure

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent
• Five to seven years of experience in various areas of accounting with increasing levels of responsibility
• Proficient with basic computer skills and fundamental working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
• Detail-oriented and strong problem-solving abilities
• Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
• Able to prove drug and alcohol free at random and for cause

Qualifications

• Must be detail-oriented and have strong problem-solving skills
• Effective communication within the department and with other departments is essential

Skills

• Proficiency with basic computer skills and Microsoft Office applications
• Experience with accounting software and systems
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
