Amazon has an immediate opening for a Senior Accountant to support Amazon Leo, Amazon's long-term initiative to design, launch and maintain a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites providing high-speed broadband connectivity to underserved communities worldwide. Responsibilities

  • Support various aspects of our accounting and reporting process
  • End-to-end process ownership to support finance and business partners
  • Understand internal control design concepts sufficient to assess the effectiveness of controls in their area and to design new processes and controls for emerging and growing business activities
  • Analysis of complex processes and systems data
  • Execute judgments to keep projects moving and ensure the right decisions are reached to close the books each month
  • Escalate risks and issues as necessary to leadership
  • Identify process improvement and automation opportunities to drive positive change across the organization
  • Lead delivery of accounting tasks and projects
  • Enhance partnerships between Accounting and various business and IT groups

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications include 3+ years of finance or a related analytical field experience and a Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field. Preferred Qualifications include a CPA, knowledge of internal control framework (specifically COSO), and knowledge of GAAP research tools and the FASB codification.

Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Pay

The base salary range for this position is $72,600.00 - $117,100.00 USD annually in Culver City, CA, with varying ranges in other locations including Boston, MA, Portland, OR, Nashville, TN, Austin, TX, Arlington, VA, and Seattle, WA. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
