Responsibilities
- Maintains and configures database systems
- Ensures performance, availability, security, and health of database servers
- Monitors daily processing and resolves exceptions and requests
- Monitors database performance and performs database tuning
- Establishes and monitors database backup, recovery, and replication processes
- Participates in disaster recovery testing for databases
- Designs and creates databases for applications
- Writes stored procedures in SQL
- Adheres to change management policies
- Installs, upgrades, and patches MS SQL Server and Oracle databases
- Participates in on-call rotation for Production Support group
- Works with Windows, UNIX, and Linux operating systems
- Has working knowledge of database systems architecture
- Participates in replication services
- Has experience with MS SQL Server native auditing
- Has experience with database monitoring tools (Solarwinds or Idera)
- Has experience with DataMasker tool
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- 5+ years of DBA experience (Windows for SQL) and (Linux for Oracle)
- Ability to work with Windows, UNIX, and Linux operating systems
- Knowledge of SQL, Transact SQL, PL-SQL
- Working knowledge of PowerShell or other scripting languages
- Experience with replication services
- Experience with database monitoring tools (Solarwinds or Idera) is a plus
- Experience with DataMasker tool is a plus
