SQL Developer

About the Role

Ria Money Transfer, a business segment of Euronet Worldwide, Inc., delivers innovative financial services including fast, secure, and affordable global money transfers to millions of customers, along with currency exchange, mobile top-up, bill payment, and check cashing services. This role involves creating solutions for a variety of business problems, developing and testing modifications to existing systems, and providing assistance to the user community during implementation. Experience with SQL Server, SSIS, and SSRS is required. Knowledge of financial and currency exchange is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Convert MS Access to SQL, develop and modify SSIS packages, SSRS reports, and stored procedures with a high degree of complexity, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and maintainability.
• Perform impact analysis before creating new processes or modifying existing ones.
• Establish and meet project due dates, completing tasks ahead of schedule when possible.
• Conduct problem analysis and system design preparatory to developing system solutions.
• Analyze present workflow and correct deficiencies based on user discussions.
• Develop or assist in the development of work plans, task sequencing, and determine task concurrency.
• Communicate effectively in both written and verbal forms with all internal project members.

Requirements

• 1-3 years of experience with a bachelor’s degree in computer science; a master’s degree in information technology is a plus.
• Solid background in accounting, finance, statistics, economics, or a related field.
• Strong abilities in database design, access, and usage.
• Strong programming experience in multi-user environments.
• Strong experience with TSQL, SQL, MS-Reporting Services, MS-Analysis Services, MS-Access, and SQL Server.
• Good knowledge of business applications, including reporting for financial systems and accounting.
• High level of operating system and network knowledge.
• Understanding of networked environments, the Internet, DNS, and general knowledge of various Internet protocols and routing.
• Knowledge of financial transactions and accounting.
• Knowledge of foreign exchange markets is a plus.
