Sprinter / Diesel Technician

About the role

Keep commercial and passenger vans properly maintained, repaired and on the road. Our Sprinter team supports business customers who depend on their vans every day, as well as clients who drive Sprinters for personal transportation. Located at Service Center, 110 W Graham Ave, Hempstead, NY 11550.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair Sprinter engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brake and A/C systems
• Use Mercedes-Benz diagnostic equipment
• Road test and verify vehicle concerns
• Perform scheduled maintenance and warranty repairs
• Identify and recommend additional repairs
• Diagnose and repair diesel-related systems, including emissions and aftertreatment components

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of professional diesel repair experience (required)
• Sprinter experience preferred; diesel experience with other manufacturers welcome

Qualifications

• Mercedes-Benz and ASE certifications preferred, not required
• CDL not required

Skills

• Professional personal tool set
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Good time management, basic computer skills and the ability to work independently

Pay

$22-$55 per flat-rate hour, paid weekly
