Responsibilities

  • Receive service calls from the Service Resource Center, including descriptions of equipment/system malfunctions.
  • Contact customer representatives to determine equipment/system issues.
  • Perform service and repairs on various types of sprinkler systems, including wet, dry, pre-action, deluge, and fire pumps, for commercial and industrial applications.
  • Diagnose and repair equipment using prescribed troubleshooting procedures and technical manuals, part manuals, change notices, and bulletins.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems, programs, schematics, and operational product manuals.
  • Demonstrate excellent customer service, organizational skills, and a positive attitude.
  • Work independently and perform physical labor, including carrying and moving equipment and tools weighing up to 70 lbs.
  • Work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions, such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high lift equipment up to 60 feet, working within ducts, crawl spaces, above ceilings, etc.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of documented experience in the Fire Sprinkler industry, focusing on service and repair to sprinkler and suppression systems.
  • Retain any necessary licenses required by national, state, and local codes.
  • Maintain truck inventory to ensure timely responses to customer needs.
  • Avoid accidents and adhere to safety guidelines and procedures at all times.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and a driving record that meets company requirements.
  • Follow verbal and written instructions and be capable of performing physical labor.

Preferred

  • NICET Level II certification.
