Responsibilities

  • Ensure all inspections are completed on time and conducted accurately and thoroughly.
  • Test all building sprinkler control panels, devices, and functions of the sprinkler system and enter test results into the Palm handheld device.
  • Download information after completing an inspection and generate a completed Sprinkler Inspection Report.
  • Demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills and be customer service oriented.
  • Work within a team environment and be punctual, especially for sound tests before building tenant arrivals.
  • Use proficiency in test equipment such as sensitivity test equipment, multi-meters, battery analyzers, sound level meters, and communication devices.
  • Participate in monthly team meetings and perform other duties assigned by management.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent with acceptable experience.
  • CSCA Sprinkler certification and NICET Level 2 in Water Based System Inspections.
  • Knowledge of NFPA standards and ability to stay updated with code requirements and industry changes.
  • Good networking PC skills including use of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Palm unit, and Service Trade operating systems.
  • Reliable transportation to and from the office or job site.
  • A clean motor vehicle record for operating company provided vehicles.

Qualifications

  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Must have a clean driving record.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be comfortable working at heights and in industrial, commercial, and residential building environments.
