Spring Part Time Intern Software Developer

Non-exempt, part-time position (15–20 hours per week) reporting to the Lead Developer.

About the role

Join our development team as a Developer Intern and collaborate with our developers to design and build high-quality internal applications. The Spring Internship Program runs for 8 weeks, and Hurley & Associates supports interns in receiving academic credit hours. Interns receive a competitive weekly salary.

Responsibilities

• Implement testing procedures to identify bugs
• Engage with users to better understand needs and opportunities for improvements
• Develop sections of current web applications
• Uphold and exemplify Hurley’s mission and vision statements
• Represent Hurley & Associates with integrity and professionalism

Requirements

• Completed 3 semesters of a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
• Access to confidential information; required to sign a confidentiality agreement

Skills

• Familiarity with code versioning tools, like Git
• Familiarity with Microsoft Visual Studio Code / Visual Studio Professional
• Familiarity with Object-Oriented Programming Language (C# preferred)
• Familiarity with SQL
• Familiarity with Azure or other Cloud technologies
• Good problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work on multiple tasks
• Good interpersonal skills
