About the role

The Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum is accredited by the American Alliance of Museums and has been called the “Smithsonian of country music.” Chartered by the state of Tennessee in 1964, this 501(c)(3) nonprofit educational organization documents and interprets the history of country music through a vast collection of artifacts, archival materials, and educational programs. The Museum’s 350,000‑square‑foot facility includes exhibition galleries, archival storage, retail space, event venues, Hatch Show Print, Historic RCA Studio B, the Taylor Swift Education Center, and performance spaces such as the CMA Theater and Ford Theater. In 2024 the Museum received the National Medal of Arts.

The Museum’s paid internship program is open to full‑time undergraduate and graduate students. Internships provide work‑based learning that introduces students to museum‑related careers and other professions within large cultural organizations. Interns typically work up to 25 hours per week for a maximum of 12 weeks, with flexibility to accommodate individual university requirements and quarterly educational programs.
