About the Role

The Registered Professional Nurse independently plans and provides professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders, established guidelines, and the scope of practice defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act. The Staff Registered Professional Nurse manages care for an assigned group of patients, aligning with Northside Hospital’s philosophy and policies. Professional nursing practice at Northside reflects values of collaboration, communication, coordination, integration, and empowerment.

Responsibilities

• Independently plan and deliver professional nursing care to patients.
• Manage patient care for an assigned group in accordance with hospital policies.
• Adhere to the Georgia Nurse Practice Act and established nursing guidelines.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Active RN license in the State of Georgia, in good standing without limitations.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Preferred Qualifications

• BSN degree.
• Additional Life Support credentials (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or clinical specialty certifications for specific units.
• Visual color acuity, depending on the role in specific units.
