Spray Technician - Tree

Responsibilities

• Apply pesticides in support of landscape maintenance and tree care operations.
• Organize, schedule, and perform specific on-site job tasks efficiently.
• Accurately identify the target pest, calibrate equipment, and apply pesticides according to recommended label rates.
• Complete reports, maintain equipment, and chemical storage area.
• Supervise and train personnel in safe pesticide application.
• Conduct annual pesticide training as required by the State.

Requirements

• Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
• Current MA Pesticide License or ability to obtain it prior to employment.
• Willingness to work some Saturdays as workload and weather may dictate.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to stay motivated and work efficiently, often as a one-person crew.
• Field experience in comparable position is preferred.
• Degree relevant to the field (turf management, plant pathology, etc) is preferred.
• A strong passion for and dedication to enhancing the properties we service.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, stand and walk long distances.
• Must be able to work in all types of weather, including extremely hot and extremely cold temperatures.
• Must be able to frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
