Responsibilities
- Apply pesticides in support of landscape maintenance and tree care operations.
- Organize, schedule, and perform specific on-site job tasks efficiently.
- Accurately identify the target pest, calibrate equipment, and apply pesticides according to recommended label rates.
- Complete reports, maintain equipment, and chemical storage area.
- Supervise and train personnel in safe pesticide application.
- Conduct annual pesticide training as required by the State.
Requirements
- Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
- Current MA Pesticide License or ability to obtain it prior to employment.
- Willingness to work some Saturdays as workload and weather may dictate.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to stay motivated and work efficiently, often as a one-person crew.
- Field experience in comparable position is preferred.
- Degree relevant to the field (turf management, plant pathology, etc) is preferred.
- A strong passion for and dedication to enhancing the properties we service.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, stand and walk long distances.
- Must be able to work in all types of weather, including extremely hot and extremely cold temperatures.
- Must be able to frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
