Spray Technician
About the role
Sun City Hilton Head, located in Bluffton, SC, is seeking a Full-Time Spray Technician to join our team. We welcome driven individuals eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. This role is part of Troon, a global leader in golf and community management.
Responsibilities
- Apply fertilizer and chemical applications
- Update spray records, inventory, and MSDS sheets
- Calibrate spray equipment and fertilizer spreader
- Perform general upkeep and maintenance on spray equipment
- Diagnose pest and fungus issues (with training over time)
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Secondary studies in turf, agronomy, or insects (desirable but not required)
- Valid South Carolina driver’s license
- Ability to obtain South Carolina pesticide license within 12 months of hire
- Willingness to attend continuing education seminars and classes
- Ability to wear spray applicator suits, full-face respirators, or chemical-resistant apparel
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Basic math skills
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to keeping the work area neat and organized
