Spray Technician/Assistant in Training

Southern Trace Country Club, located in Shreveport, LA, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a Spray Technician/Assistant in Training. We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast‑paced hospitality-focused property organization. The ideal candidate is someone that communicates well, is self-motivated, has a positive attitude, and is well organized.

Responsibilities

• Making all chemical and fertilizer applications under the guidance of Assistant Superintendent and Superintendent
• Detailed record keeping
• Inventory management
• Maintenance/calibration of spray and fertilizer application equipment
• Spray selective and non-selective herbicides
• Perform fertilizer applications on all playing surfaces
• May help with other tasks on the golf course as directed by supervisor
• When there are no larger spray applications planned for the day, spend the day spot spraying selective or non-selective herbicides

Qualifications

• Experience working on a golf course is preferred but not required
• A valid State issued Driver's License
• Meet all Federal and State Employment Eligibility guidelines
• Must be able to stand on their feet for extended periods of time
• Must be able to lift and/or carry items that are at most 50 pounds
• A pesticide license is not required but preferred

Pay

$22.00 - $25.00 (based on experience)
