Responsibilities

• Greets and serves guests in a timely and courteous manner.
• Obtains information from guests and ushers guests to seats.
• Communicates customer requests to assigned server.
• Knowledgeable of restaurant seating plan including sections, table numbers, and seat numbers.
• Handles and resolves guest concerns or relays complaints/compliments to the appropriate Assistant Manager on duty.
• Collects various forms of payment, processes orders, applies monies, makes accurate change, and processes credit card payments.
• Enters guests’ checks in computer system.
• Processes to-go orders over the phone or walk-ins.
• Promotes positive public and employee relations at all times.
• Completes all set-up and closing duties in a timely fashion.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience in high-volume food service, as well as cashiering/money handling.
• Table service restaurant experience preferred.
• Ability to deliver a service level that creates a positive, memorable guest experience.
• Commitment to exceeding position responsibilities to support organizational goals.
• Must present an image of excitement, enthusiasm, and professionalism.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with guests in English.
• The department operates 24/7; must be able to work any shift, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Work Environment

• Frequently required to stand, walk, use hands, reach, talk, hear, and taste or smell.
• Must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Requires close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, as well as depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
• Casino environment is hectic, fast-paced, and often crowded and noisy.
• May be exposed to secondhand smoke, excessive noise, and constant public interaction.
