About the role
The Sports Travel & Event Coordinator will be responsible for managing all aspects of travel and event logistics for a major sports league. This role requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Responsibilities
- Plan and execute travel arrangements for high-profile events including flights, accommodations, ground transportation, and local activities.
- Coordinate with vendors and partners to ensure seamless execution of events, including catering, entertainment, and venue setup.
- Manage event budgets and expenses, ensuring compliance with league policies and financial guidelines.
- Handle emergency situations and last-minute changes to events, providing timely updates to stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key vendors and partners to ensure ongoing service excellence.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Event Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in event planning and coordination.
- Experience with travel management software and event planning tools.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Outlook.
- Knowledge of travel industry regulations and compliance standards.
