Duties
Selects and emphasizes competitive sports activities to be offered.
Assists in conducting clinics and seminars to train coaches, officials, and/or participants.
Schedules and publicizes tournaments, and other sports events.
Solicits volunteer and paid services for activities.
Evaluates the effectiveness of sports activities program objectives.
Develops program plans and requirements.
Ranges necessary supplies, transportation, space, and services to accomplish scheduled sports activities.

- Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
- Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
- A one-year probationary period may be required.
- Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
- Incumbent may also be required to complete a Tier 1 background investigation for a Common Access Card for physical access to federally-controlled facilities.
- Selected applicant must be able to pass a Medical Physical Examination.
- Requires rotating shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.
Qualifications
Resumes must be two pages (or less).
Resumes should clearly demonstrate the applicant's relevant experience, skills, knowledge and abilities as they pertain to this position.
- Demonstrated experience in planning, supervising, administering or carrying out a sports program that included a variety of individual and team sports and guiding participants in developing the skills needed for participation in sports activities and teaching the techniques of various sports.
- This experience may have been gained managing or administering a sports program in a community, industrial activity, or secondary school or college;
- Planning, teaching or evaluating a physical education curriculum for secondary or higher academic levels;
- Managing, umpiring, or officiating at amateur or professional athletic events, competitions, or games.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Equivalent to the next lower grade level.
- An undergraduate degree in physical education may be fully qualifying for this position.

This job is open to candidates who are LOCAL, Island of Oahu. (Military Spouse Preference (MSP) and Involuntarily Separated Military Preference (ISMP) eligible candidates are included in the area of consideration.)
