About the Role

Under general supervision, coordinate and facilitate City sports, games and activities at sporting facilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist in supporting and facilitating sporting events and activities.
• Aid in opening and closing the facility.
• Set up for sporting events and activities, including setting up score tables and preparing the gym for games.
• Prepare activity reports.
• Substitute for officials in emergencies.
• Interpret sports rules and regulations.
• Maintain public and team control by ensuring all rules and regulations are followed.
• Perform ID checks.
• Communicate effectively with staff, coaches, players, and officials.
• Implement disciplinary policies and procedures to ensure a safe and positive environment.
• Comply with all cash handling policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• A High School Diploma, GED, or higher and six (6) months experience in recreation or related field.
• Some positions may require a Texas Class "C" Driver's License or equivalent from another state.
• CPR and Basic First Aid Certification required within six (6) months of date of appointment.
• A valid USA driver's license is required. Options for types of licenses include: Texas Class A - CDL or equivalent from another state, Texas Class B - CDL or equivalent from another state, Texas Class C or equivalent from another state.
