About the Role
Under general supervision, coordinate and facilitate City sports, games and activities at sporting facilities.
Responsibilities
- Assist in supporting and facilitating sporting events and activities.
- Aid in opening and closing the facility.
- Set up for sporting events and activities, including setting up score tables and preparing the gym for games.
- Prepare activity reports.
- Substitute for officials in emergencies.
- Interpret sports rules and regulations.
- Maintain public and team control by ensuring all rules and regulations are followed.
- Perform ID checks.
- Communicate effectively with staff, coaches, players, and officials.
- Implement disciplinary policies and procedures to ensure a safe and positive environment.
- Comply with all cash handling policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- A High School Diploma, GED, or higher and six (6) months experience in recreation or related field.
- Some positions may require a Texas Class "C" Driver's License or equivalent from another state.
- CPR and Basic First Aid Certification required within six (6) months of date of appointment.
- A valid USA driver's license is required. Options for types of licenses include: Texas Class A - CDL or equivalent from another state, Texas Class B - CDL or equivalent from another state, Texas Class C or equivalent from another state.
