Sports Pub - Service Support

About the role

The Role We are looking for a Service Support role for our Sports Pub at the Multnomah Athletic Club. This person will assist servers with ensuring proper service and member satisfaction in each of the four restaurants. There will be a strong emphasis on the running of food, clearing and resetting of tables.

Responsibilities

• Setting up stations, stocking needed items, and folding napkins.
• Demonstrates consistent and punctual attendance for daily shift meetings.
• Correctly describes all menu items including at least three main ingredients for each item and the method of preparation.
• Aids servers in clearing all unneeded glassware and dishes.
• Ensures the service stations are clean, organized, and well stocked.
• Maintains and correctly handles restaurant equipment and supplies so that unnecessary wear and tear, breakage, and waste does not occur.
• Identifies and reports unsafe or hazardous work conditions.
• Reports all workplace injuries and illnesses to supervisor.
• Promotes the MAC code of conduct in club activities and demonstrates the importance of providing quality service to members.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Possession of a valid food handlers permit.
• Familiarity with proper etiquette for removing dishes and utensils from tables.
• Demonstrated excellence in customer/guest service.
• Ability to interact with members and guests in a professional and courteous manner.
• Ability to memorize menu items including the ability to describe at least three main ingredients and the method of preparation for each item.
• Ability to perform the essential job functions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a fast-paced environment preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
