Sports Performance and Fitness Coach

About the role
Beaver Athletics is seeking an experienced, enthusiastic, and motivating Sports Performance and Fitness Coach. This part-time position is approximately 20 hours per week, with a schedule of Monday through Friday, 2:30–5:30 p.m. and Monday through Friday, 12:00–1:00 p.m. (exact times and days are negotiable).
Responsibilities
- Plan and program for varsity, sub-varsity, and middle school teams (in and out of season)
- Teach daily strength and conditioning classes
- Assist with rehab/injured athletes
- Monitor weight room during open hours
- Assess weight room and equipment needs
- Educate about basic nutrition and supplements
- Support the mission and work of the School and Athletic Department
- Work effectively and respectfully with students, coaches, faculty, parents, and visitors
- Ensure that spaces are safe and inclusive at all times
- Perform administrative responsibilities in support of the athletic department, commensurate with experience
Requirements
- CSCS or CPT certification
- Experience working in a weight room, writing programs, and working with student-athletes or similar field
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Demonstrated understanding of independent schools, their unique culture, and opportunities and challenges

Pay
The salary range for this position is $38,000–$44,000.
