Responsibilities
- Enforce the rules and regulations of a game to ensure fair play and the safety of all participants.
- Start and stop play, make judgment calls on infractions, and assess penalties.
- Keep track of the game's progress (such as time, score, and player conduct).
- Communicate clearly with players, coaches, and other officials.
- Manage conflicts or disputes that arise during the game.
- Maintain control of the event to ensure it runs smoothly and within established guidelines.
- Demonstrate impartiality, professionalism, and a thorough understanding of the sport at all times.
Requirements
- Previous officiating experience or sports-related experience as a coach or player (no experience is fine—we will get you certified).
- Strong knowledge of the sport's rules.
- Ability to make quick and confident decisions.
- Physical fitness, mental focus, and emotional resilience.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of an officiating team.
- Passion for the sport and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Pay
$35 per game
