About the role

As the Sports Management Intern, you will work directly with our team, assisting with day-to-day league operations, including customer service, partner relations, and data management. Training will cover sales, business development, networking, operations, and finance. This internship offers invaluable experience in sports management and the opportunity to transition into a full-time role upon completion.

This is an in-person opportunity based in Miami. Ideally, applicants should be located within approximately 30 minutes of Jose Marti Park.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with game reports, customer service inquiries, scheduling, and data entry
  • Conduct league audits and evaluations
  • Provide administrative and clerical support for all departments
  • Make sales calls to team captains to inform them of upcoming events and registration deadlines
  • Manage inventory and upkeep of sports equipment and shirts
  • Perform facility and field maintenance as needed; suggest venue improvements
  • Handle league-day preparations, such as field setup and supervision
  • Set up and take down fields and/or bar setups
  • Use the host app to check in players as needed
  • Execute fundraising activities to support kids programs
  • Encourage and maintain a quality experience throughout the league, ensuring players feel welcome

Requirements

  • Pursuing a degree in Sports Management, Sports Administration, Marketing, or a related field (seniors preferred, but all graduation years welcome)
  • Passion for sports and social activities
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Self-directed leader who takes initiative and a solutions-oriented approach to problem-solving
  • Comfortable interacting with all types of clients and decision-makers, prioritizing customer needs
  • Works well in a team atmosphere with minimal supervision
  • Self-reliant and eager to take on tasks of any size
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Currently enrolled in college or recently graduated
  • Punctual, professional, and embraces a "work hard, play hard" attitude
