About the role

The Sports Management Instructor will provide instruction in various aspects of sports management, including but not limited to sports administration, sports marketing, and sports finance. The ideal candidate will possess a strong educational background in sports management or a related field and have experience working in the sports industry.

Responsibilities

  • Teach courses in sports management, including sports administration, sports marketing, and sports finance.
  • Develop and deliver engaging lectures and practical sessions.
  • Assess student performance through exams, assignments, and projects.
  • Maintain accurate records and report grades to the registrar’s office.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to curriculum development.
  • Collaborate with other instructors and administrative staff to ensure a cohesive learning environment.

Requirements

  • A Master’s degree in Sports Management or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • At least 3 years of professional experience in the sports industry.
  • Proven ability to teach effectively and inspire students.
  • Experience with adult learning and adult education principles.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Passion for sports and a commitment to lifelong learning.

Skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with online course management systems (e.g., Blackboard).
