Job Summary/Description
- Selecting and creating stories that matter to viewers
- Delivering scripted material and ad libbing with professionalism, personality, and purpose
- Writing scripts, building graphics, and editing video that helps you tell complete and effective stories
- Planning, gathering, assembling stories, and producing sports hits as needed
- Coordinating with news managers and producers to develop enterprising and exclusive content
- Monitoring and posting to digital platforms as news develops
- Responding urgently and appropriately to breaking and developing sports news
- Working under strict deadline pressure
- Demonstrating exceptional time-management skills by meeting all deadlines
- Appearing on behalf of the station at public events
Qualifications/Requirements
- Good writing and video editing skills
- Good communication skills
- Solid ethics and judgment
- Consistent track record of meeting deadlines
- Ability to work varied shifts, including overnights and weekends
- Bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism or a related field
- Self-starter skills
- Knowledge of and ability to operate state-of-the-art television news equipment as well as content management systems and social media
- Past anchoring and reporting experience (2-5 years)

- Familiarity with ENPS, Edius, TVU, and Arc a plus
