Sports Coach

Corpus Christi Catholic School is seeking Coaches for the following teams this school year.

About the role

This is a stipend-only position. Practices typically occur twice a week, with games played twice a week once the season begins in late August. The school is part of the Greater Houston Catholic Athletic Association, divided into North and South divisions. Teams play both home and away games against each school in their division, involving some travel. Parents are responsible for transporting student athletes to games.

Teams accommodate a wide range of skill levels, and no student athletes are cut—everyone who wants to play can join. Junior Varsity teams are developmental, while Varsity teams are competitive.

Requirements

• Complete an Applitrack form on the Galveston-Houston Arch-Diocese website
• Complete online Safe Environment Training
• Complete required School Annual Trainings online:
  • Bloodborne Pathogens
  • First Aid & Sudden Illness
  • AED & CPR
  • Anaphylaxis & Epinephrine
  • Child Abuse & Neglect

Qualifications

• Coaching or playing experience
• Knowledgeable about the sport
• Excellent communication skills
• Good rapport with players and parents
• Ability to serve as a positive Christian role model for student athletes
