SPORTS ARENA PREMIUM CLUB CARVER
About the role
Join the Team Bring your knife skills, attention to detail, and professional presentation to the Delta Center! As a Premium Club Carver, you will support the Culinary and Premium teams by carving, slicing, portioning, and presenting meats, cheeses, and other premium food items during Utah Jazz games, Utah Mammoth games, concerts, and special events. This position plays an important role in delivering high-quality food presentation and an excellent guest experience in a fast-paced premium environment. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys culinary work, takes pride in presentation, and can work confidently and safely with sharp tools.
Key responsibilities
- Model and promote Levy's Family Values: Nice, Innovative, Passionate, and Inclusive.
- Carve, slice, and portion meats, cheeses, and other food items according to Levy standards.
- Present carved items attractively for display, service, and guest enjoyment.
- Maintain proper portion control, quality, and presentation during service.
- Set up and break down carving stations before and after events.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation and tools.
- Follow proper food-safety, sanitation, hygiene, and workplace-safety procedures.
- Assist with preparing ingredients and supporting other food stations as needed.
- Work efficiently during high-volume periods while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.
- Communicate with Culinary leadership and team members to support event needs.
- Help deliver a positive and professional premium guest experience.
- Complete additional duties as assigned based on event and business needs.
Qualifications and requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Meat carving, slicing, culinary, or food-service experience is preferred.
- Strong knife skills and knowledge of proper carving techniques preferred.
- Knowledge of food-safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards.
- Ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure.
- Strong attention to detail, presentation, and portion control.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and professional.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and safely operate sharp tools.
- Ability to lift, carry, and move moderate weight as needed.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced event environment.
- Ability to work a flexible event-based schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Must obtain and maintain a valid Utah Food Handler Permit or Food Safety Manager ServSafe Certificate.
