Sports Anchor/Reporter

About the role

FOX45 in Baltimore is seeking a dynamic sports reporter/anchor who can cover both professional and amateur area sports teams. The ideal candidate will be a tenacious reporter capable of breaking news on-air and online, understanding the evolving digital landscape of sports reporting, and bringing innovative ideas to coverage.

Responsibilities

• Host a podcast in the morning
• Schedule and shoot interviews for upcoming reports
• Front live shots from venues like Camden Yards during evening newscasts
• Immerse themselves in the Baltimore region's sports teams

Requirements

• Strong writing and video editing skills
• 2-5 years of high-level sports beat coverage, both collegiate and professional
• Bachelor's degree in journalism or related field preferred
• Utilize social media to build a dedicated audience
• Demonstrate ability to stand out and find original storytelling methods
• Develop original enterprise reporting across all Baltimore sports teams

• Photograph and video editing (broadcast and digital)

Pay

The base salary compensation range for this role is $57,120 to $71,400. Final compensation will be determined by various factors including relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location.

Schedule
