About the role
The Sports Coordinator is responsible for enhancing the i9 Sports Experience for players and coaches. The role involves building relationships with players, parents, and coaches while ensuring the instructional aspects of the i9 Sports Experience are delivered. Observing, assessing, and assisting coaches is paramount, with hands-on involvement in practices and games across all age groups and skill levels.
Responsibilities
- Empower volunteer coaches to lead practice sessions focusing on fundamentals, skill development, and fun
- Teach and demonstrate core concepts including Sportsmanship values
- Supervise the overall operation of designated sport on game day
- Consistently demonstrate a positive attitude and superior customer service skills
Requirements
- Excellent communication skills
- Sport-specific coaching experience and knowledge
- Highly motivated self-starter; ability to work independently and solve problems
- Awareness and ability to take charge of any situation to ensure the safety of players
- Positive attitude and a strong ability to build professional relationships
- Ability to work a varied schedule including weekends and some evenings for the full duration of the season (7 weeks)
