About the role
Responsible for business unit supplier performance management (SPM) of medium to large size/value contracts by identifying and maximizing value opportunities. Required to be onsite 3 days per week.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development of a contract strategy within the business unit/COE
- Define contract terms/conditions in accordance with company standards
- Manage post award contract activities: vendor performance & compliance
- Ensure contract (terms/conditions) compliance, such as enforcing payment terms
- Modify contract as necessary; ensure contract close-out, extension, or renewal (verify completion of work at close-out)
- Manage medium and high contracts through the entire life cycle
- Provide performance metrics report on contract management performance/development & compliance
- Intervene, analyze, manage, and resolve business conflicts between the company and vendors
- Serve as point of contact to resolve contractual issues as required
- Identify and apply value maximizing opportunities
- Partner with supply chain management to develop optimal contract terms
- Manage PO specific work efforts (technical and commercial) in accordance with corporate policy
- Ensure that signed contracts are communicated to all relevant parties to provide contract visibility, awareness, and interpretation to support implementation
- Handle ongoing issues and change management, documenting appropriately
- Interface with key customers, proactively ensuring contractual compliance and performance
- Collaborate with the SCM team to provide guidance on vendor selection
- Analyze current processes and make modifications utilizing continuous improvement principles
- Support structuring of negotiations of contracts
- Support development of SPM value targets and track performance to goals
- Mentor other Contract Managers and support their work as necessary
Requirements
- Associate's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, engineering, or related discipline
- 5+ years' experience in contract management techniques

- Excellent communication and interpersonal relationship skills

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, SAP, Maximo, SRM
