Splicing Manager

Location: Nashville, TN

About the role

Our Splicing Manager supervises employees in the preparation, splicing, and enclosing of fiber optic and coaxial telecommunications plant. The position requires a good working knowledge of telecommunications network structure; familiarity with fiber optic and coaxial cable, splice enclosures, and their functionality; ability to use TDR/OTDR and fusion splicing equipment; ability to read fiber matrices; interpret and analyze data; and identify and troubleshoot problems.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, develop, and provide leadership to employees and supervisors of an assigned area, department, or project(s).
• Review tasks and reports to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
• Develop processes to ensure completion of tasks in support of an assigned area, department, or project(s).
• Communicate with employees, contractors, vendors, and/or customers to assist an assigned area, department, or project(s).
• Potential to work 3rd shift as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field or 5 years of related work experience.
• Previous supervisory and/or managerial experience.
• Project management skills including planning, organizing, and coordinating tasks.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen, background, and motor vehicle record check.
