Spiritual Care Practitioner (Casual)

Position Summary

The Spiritual Care team is hiring a casual employee to support unplanned and planned leave across Alfred and Sandringham hospitals. Experience in acute and palliative healthcare settings will be necessary to understand the unique needs of the patients. The Alfred Hospital is a busy environment, with Spiritual Care services in all areas with designated funding to specific medical units. For both locations, you’ll be required to work collaboratively within multi-disciplinary teams and attend Allied Health-specific meetings.

Skills And Qualifications Required

• Demonstrated work experience in acute and palliative healthcare settings
• Thorough organisational, prioritisation, and decision-making skills
• Eligible for certified membership of Spiritual Care Australia
• 2 Units of Clinical Pastoral Education, preferably an Advanced Certificate of CPE, demonstrated in an acute clinical healthcare setting
• Bachelor's degree in Theology, Counselling, Social Sciences or equivalent
