Spirit Defense - Mid-Level Quality Systems Specialist
Position Responsibilities
Maintaining and Continuously Improving the Quality Management System (QMS)
Act as Liaison for interface with customers, suppliers, and other agencies
Lead the MRB Team in review of all non-conformances
Lead the RCCA Team in root cause and corrective actions
Work with leadership team and peers to develop future state projects, goals, and timelines to meet those goals
Prioritize projects and goals by importance and scope
Work with process owners and other stakeholders to develop plans to meet improvement goals
Where appropriate, lead execution efforts on identified initiatives (methods may include Kaizen events or other formal or informal improvement efforts)
Where others are responsible for leading improvement efforts, work closely with each stakeholder to assure goals are met in the time frame required
Perform continual assessments of current state process performance and update on a regular basis to ensure continual improvement of the business
Schedule and lead effective meetings
Develop and use formal meeting agendas and meeting minutes to ensure action items are captured and executed upon
Develop and conduct presentations, develop reports or other written forms of communication to present to leadership or aid in process improvement
Assist in the development of training and verifying effectiveness of training and perform tests or measurements of processes
Author or revise documents such as procedures, processes, work instructions, and standard operating procedures
Perform spot audits in assigned shop for compliance items
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)
- High School Diploma or GED
- 5+ years of related experience in a Quality setting
- Ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance and Special Program Access (for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship)
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)
- Associate's or Bachelor’s Degree
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite of programs and other software utilized in the manufacture of aerospace products
- Experience using SAP
- Proficient with standard industry RCCA tools (i.e., 7-Pack, 8D, 5 Whys, Fishbone, etc.)
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Team player
- Strong work ethic, self-starter, willingness to learn and grow as a professional
- Understanding of DPD and GD&T, including experience with Catia, 3D, or MBD engineering models
- Six Sigma Green Belt other LEAN certification/experience
- Previous experience with Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation, specifically Designated Quality Representative (DQR)
- Familiar with AS9100 RevD
Security Clearance
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
Pay & Benefits
- Pay Range: $73,400 - $112,550

Summary
The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the Wichita, KS location.
