Spirit Defense - Material Management Manager
About the role
This position is within Spirit AeroSystems, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company, at Spirit’s Defense Business Unit (“Spirit Defense”). Spirit Defense is an independent supplier to the defense and space marketplace, providing innovative engineering, rapid prototyping excellence, and specialized technical expertise to support customer missions.
Performs responsibilities requiring the integration of disciplines from multiple Materials Management and Transportation job families, applying independent, specialized technical expertise to support a wide range of business objectives. Activities include the development, integration, implementation, and execution of multidisciplinary business processes. Works cross-functionally with internal and external customers and all employee levels.
Responsibilities
- Manage Customer Support Representatives (CSRs), Material Analysts, and Material Control Account Managers (CAMs) across multiple Defense Programs.
- Lead and direct gatekeeping activities for MMAS (Material Management Accounting System) compliance.
- Provide general program leadership support.
- Develop Basis of Estimates (BOEs) for new programs.
- Review and adjust material on Inventory Reserves.
- Support material and system troubleshooting for compliance and customer requirements.
- Support program change board for material changes and storing needs.
- Manage multiple priorities and work simultaneous assignments in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- Ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance and Special Program Access (U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship).
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience.
- ERP experience (Supply Chain, Accounting, Manufacturing, or Inventory).
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM).
- Experience with SAP MMAS governance and compliance.
Pay
Pay is based on candidate experience, qualifications, market, and business considerations.
Summary pay range: $92,500–$141,850.
