Responsibilities

  • Acts as an authorized agent of the company with responsibility for managing all supplier-related activities and authority to commit company resources through contracts and agreements
  • Researches, evaluates, and sets expectations for prospective suppliers for new business
  • Builds and maintains good relations with suppliers
  • Handles and manages negotiating contracts with suppliers
  • Develops requests for quotations and proposals, analyzes supplier responses, negotiates and awards contracts, and manages post-award supplier activities
  • Interfaces with internal and external customers and suppliers
  • Manages post-award supplier activities including updating suppliers' profile and required documentation
  • Manages inventory levels, simulation, modeling, forecasting data, and supplier performance
  • Maintains inventory levels, simulation, modeling, forecasting data, and supplier performance
  • Maintains inventory levels, simulation, modeling, forecasting data, and supplier performance
  • Maintains inventory levels, simulation, modeling, forecasting data, and supplier performance
  • Monitors customer inventory demand and material assets to optimize total supply chain planning
  • Incorporates planning decisions from customers and suppliers to reduce material and product variability, and arrive at optimal solutions
  • Able to communicate and track program change as flowed down by Prime/Company
  • Integrated Product Team representation and support

  • Performing BOE (Bases of estimate) / Estimating tasks

Qualifications

  • Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): 2+ years of related experience in a supply chain role, preferably within the aerospace or manufacturing industry
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance and Special Program Access (for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship)
  • Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business, Supply Chain, or other relevant course of study
  • Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)
  • Excellent Data analysis skills
  • Knowledge/experience with/in manufacturing and manufacturing process
  • Knowledge of MRP Systems and SAP
  • Ability to effect change
  • Driven to learn new skills in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint
