Spine Surgeon

About the role

Concentra is seeking an orthopedic spine surgeon to serve on site as a 1099 independent contractor. This contract position is designed to complement your existing practice. A typical arrangement involves treating patients at a Concentra location for approximately a 4-hour shift on a weekly or biweekly basis. Concentra Advanced Specialists assist in the management of medically complex patients, expedite return to work, and facilitate functional restoration. You will work collaboratively with medical and therapy providers to deliver both non-surgical and surgical specialist services for orthopedic and neuromusculoskeletal work-related injuries. Additionally, you will communicate with employers and take an active role in case management.

Responsibilities

• Treat patients on site for approximately a 4-hour shift on a weekly or biweekly basis
• Provide non-surgical and surgical specialist services for orthopedic and neuromusculoskeletal work-related injuries
• Collaborate with medical and therapy providers
• Communicate with employers and participate in case management

Qualifications

• Preferred experience in treating patients with work-related injuries
• Licensure requirements of the state of practice
• Graduate of an accredited MD or DO program from an accredited university
• Unrestricted DEA license for the state of jurisdiction
• Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Orthopedic Spine Surgery
• Must have medical malpractice insurance covering services provided on site
