About the role

The Speech Therapist / SLP will assess patients, diagnose disorders impacting swallowing and speaking, and provide treatment. They will also counsel individuals and their families on improving personalized treatment plans and updating patient records.

Responsibilities

• Audit and update patient records according to departmental processes
• Counsel individuals and their families on improving personalized treatment plans
• Diagnose and treat disorders impacting swallowing and speaking
• Provide assessments and evaluations of patients

Qualifications

• Current Vermont license
• Advanced degree from an accredited program
• Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills including patience, empathy, and compassion
• Effective communication skills, including active listening, writing, speaking, and reading comprehension
• Fast and adaptive problem-solving abilities
