Position Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide high-quality, patient-centered therapy services on a PRN basis. This role focuses on helping residents improve communication, cognition, and swallowing function.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate residents and develop individualized treatment plans
- Provide therapy services per physician orders and care goals
- Document evaluations, treatments, and progress notes in compliance with regulations
- Supervise SLPAs, CFYs, and students as appropriate
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary team members
- Participate in care conferences, utilization review, and discharge planning
- Educate residents, families, and caregivers on therapy and maintenance programs
- Conduct staff training and in-service education
- Ensure compliance with state practice act and facility policies
Qualifications
- Master’s or Doctorate degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active South Carolina SLP license (in good standing)
- Experience in skilled nursing or rehab setting preferred
- Ability to supervise CFYs or students preferred
- Familiarity with PointClickCare (PCC) and Casamba preferred
- Strong clinical, documentation, and communication skills
