About the Role
As a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), you will evaluate and treat residents with speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders. You will collaborate with physicians, families, and the interdisciplinary care team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.
Responsibilities
- Perform patient evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
- Provide therapy for communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Communicate effectively with physicians, residents, families, and care team
- Participate in care plan meetings and discharge planning
- Conduct staff in-service training and education
Requirements
- Master's or Doctoral degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active, unencumbered SLP license in South Carolina (required)
- Must meet all state and federal requirements for SLP practice
- Must maintain continuing education and good standing with the State Board
- Experience in a skilled nursing or rehab setting preferred
- Familiarity with PointClickCare (PCC) and Casamba preferred
- Strong clinical, communication, and organizational skills
