About the Role
Seeking a Speech Therapist (SLP) to provide skilled, evidence-based care to improve patients' communication, cognitive, and swallowing abilities. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and adjust personalized treatment plans, evaluate patient progress, and document outcomes accurately. Educate patients and families on therapy goals, safety, and home strategies, ensuring coordinated care with physicians, nursing, and rehabilitation staff.
Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments using structured tools and clinical observation.
- Create and modify individualized therapy plans for communication and swallowing improvements.
- Document evaluations, progress, and discharge summaries.
- Educate patients and families to support therapy goals and safety.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members for seamless patient care.
Requirements
- Master's or Doctorate in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Valid ASHA certification or Clinical Fellow verification.
- Colorado license in Speech-Language Pathology.
- BLS certification required.
- Ability to perform evaluations, assessments, and interpret tests.
- Experience in hospital or rehab settings preferred; CFY candidates accepted.
Skills
- Competency in modified barium swallow and FEES is desirable.
- Strong communication skills and clinical judgment.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-focused environment.
