Education / Experience
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology required.
Licenses / Certifications
- Active Alabama (ABESPA) Speech-Language Pathology license required.
- ASHA CCC or CFY license required.
- BLS required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Must be skilled to provide general discipline specific therapy services to meet patient care requirements.
- Skilled in effective communication, both orally and in writing.
- Capable of maintaining a professional and customer-centric composure in challenging situations.
- Proficient in using computers, preferably in a PC, Windows-based environment.
Working Conditions/Physical Requirements
- Sitting for 30% of the workday and mobility 70% of the workday.
- Occasional stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching.
- Frequent reaching, use of hands, and repetitive actions.
- Occasional lifting or carrying up to 15 pounds, pushing/pulling up to 150 pounds.
- Continuous visual acuity at close and distant ranges.
- Minimal noise levels, continuous visual acuity, inside protected from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes.
- Exposure to computer work, risk of electrical shock, hazardous chemicals, radiation, and some exposure to infectious diseases.
